Process at home jobs range from the data entry and type at home jobs to rebate processing. Although many of the jobs seem legitimate at first glance, many of them are not. Email Processing - One Type of Data Entry Scam

Email processing appeals to people who are looking for typing work and want to make money working from home with their computer.

The email processing scams comes in several variations. They are similar to envelope stuffing scams because you get paid when placing ads and selling the same scam to others.
The promises:

After paying an administrative fee, you'll receive a training kit and you can become an email processor processing emails from home.

You will get paid $5 to $50 for each email you process.

You can process as many emails as you want and work when you want to.

You get paid immediately after each email you process.

The warning signs:

You have to pay a fee to get work. Some companies may need help with sending out emails but they won't charge money for training materials.

They promise that they will pay $5.00 - $50.00 for each email you process. Doesn't that sound like a lot of money to cut and paste responses in emails? Companies who need help with responding to emails may look for a secretarial service or a virtual assistant but they won't pay that kind of money per email you send out.

What you will get or what won't you get?

How will you get paid? What kind of email messages do you process when you become an email processor? How will you be processing emails?

You will not get paid for each email you sent out. You only get paid when you sell the same email processing scam to someone else.

You will get an information kit with instructions to send the same ad to others and ask them to send you a fee. You can send that ad by email or newsletters or post ads in newsgroups and Web forums.

When someone clicks on your advertisement and buys the email processing information from you, they (the buyer - not the company) will pay you through Paypal. Upon payment, you will receive an email from Paypal with the purchase information that will indicate what product your buyer purchased. You will look up the reply you need to send for the product purchase in your training materials. You cut and paste that reply into the email and send it to the buyer.

Ask yourself this question: Would a legitimate company pay that kind of money to send emails where you just copy and paste a message into the emails?

Do you think that merchants sit at their computer or have work at home people sit at their computer all day so they can respond instantly to purchases? This is not how it works.

Merchants set up autoresponders to respond to purchases send email messages automatically. When people pay through Paypal or a shopping cart, the process is completely automated. The shopping cart automatically verifies that the credit card or Paypal payment is valid. After payment approval, the system automatically generates a thank you page and an email message. This page can include any information they want and can be different for each product they sell. This page can provide a link where buyers can automatically download the information, ebook, or software they purchased. It can even include a form asking for your buyer's name and email address to put them automatically in a database and autoresponder that can send automated follow-up messages.

So, why would those email processing companies pay you to send email messages manually when autoresponders and other software can do this automatically and can do it faster than you can? Why would a company pay you that much for email processing and for copying and pasting messages they can set up and send easily and inexpensively themselves with autoresponders?

The answer? They don't pay you for sending out messages. They are making money from selling you a worthless training manual.

You expect to get work and get paid for email processing work. Instead, they will instruct you to place ads and spam other people with the same useless information. They make easy money from people like you who are looking to find work from home with their computer.

Ads for email processors are misleading. Don't fall for the work at home email processing scam! You will be disappointed. You don't want to make money by spamming others.

data entry scams and clickbank

Some good information about data entry from Mathew (I condensed the article)

.... I was a bit shocked at the discovery that Clickbank had removed all data entry products . .... why would Clickbank pull the plug on these products? Another more telling tale of the whole type-at-home and data entry program is it is estimated that over 25% of those who purchase the product return the product. ....

So what is the problem with Data Entry programs and why are they being classified as scams and being returned at such a high rate?

... the answer is very simple: The name is very misleading!

These data entry programs are nothing more than affiliate marketing programs (just like TheRichJerk, Wealthy Affiliate and Affiliate Cash Vault). .... but you would not tell that from their ad copy. It describes "Just fill out a few Google Ads and make money today..." I suppose you are "entering data", but there is a whole lot more to this to be successful. (The eBooks go into the "more", as well, but this is not what the ad-copy told you!).

I think people go into Data Entry programs and Type-At-Home programs with the thinking that they will just need to "type" or "enter data" and presto!, I will make money.

When they finally join the program and learn that it is a lot more than that, they become frustrated or disappointed. This leads to high returns and the word "Scam" labelled all over the product.

.... There are also "true" data entry programs that fit the criteria of typing data in for a price (the biggest and best site for this is: Freelance Work Exchange.)

Matthew is a 32 year old online entrepreneur and engineer currently living in San Diego, CA.

Businesses Outsourcing Data Entry

by Michael Russell

Outsourcing is a business strategy in which a company hires another company to perform specific tasks rather than hire employees to take care of it. This is usually done on a support function so that company personnel can concentrate exclusively on the primary business of the company.

Companies who provide outsourcing services are sometimes called “business to business” companies, as their customers are other businesses rather than individuals. From this broad definition, all companies outsource. Even if you’re a sole proprietor, you can be said to be outsourcing when you buy office supplies. After all, it would be totally inconceivable to make them yourself! You depend on the experts in the office supply industry to provide suitable materials.

One of the largest and most adaptable outsourcing services commonly utilized by all kinds of companies is data entry. In fact, the demand is great and data entry services firms are growing rapidly.

A company’s data is one of its most valuable assets. Gathering it correctly is essential to its ability to make good business decisions. Therefore, a BTB firm seeking opportunities of this sort must be very detail oriented, have a good employee training system and be prepared to create and administer a much customized project plan for your company. They could be doing many kinds of data entry work, or they may specialize in a specific type; like medical billing.

Often a company is a provider AND a purchaser of outsourcing services. A good example is a bank. Banks, of course, provide financial services to individuals and businesses and that is their primary revenue source. In order to support this income, they may outsource their payroll function to a company that specializes in that activity.

However, many banks also provide outsourcing services in the form of data entry for their business customers. One popular example is lock box payments. In this outsourcing arrangement, all of the client company’s payments on account go directly to the bank. The bank opens them, applies the cash to the appropriate client account and deposits into the client’s bank account. They do this either by direct access the to client company’s payables systems, or they could do it separately and send a daily file of all transactions to the client company for them to take into their system in batch fashion.

There are many other types of data outsourcing provided by a wide range of companies. Some companies that may provide ancillary data entry outsourcing services are medical research facilities, universities, direct marketing firms, newspapers, insurance companies and trade organizations.

Availing yourself of the benefits of data entry services can provide tremendous opportunity for your company. Those who provide the services do so very efficiently and are already set up to do it quickly and accurately. The cost factor is often lower than what the company would spend on salaries and benefits if they did the data entry themselves. Couple that with the disruptions inherent with a larger staff and you’ll find outsourcing is not only a viable alternative, but also a preferred one in many cases.

Work From Home Data Entry Opportunities For You

By Martin Connor

Working from home gives you tremendous control over your working environment, and your working experience. Your working hours are more flexible, allowing you to live your life the way you want to, while generating income. One of the most flexible, and popular, work from home opportunities is data entry. However, with an increasing amount of scams appearing on the internet, it is advisable to proceed cautiously when looking for work from home data entry positions.

Before you begin your search, it is important to understand what a data entry job is. A data entry position should require you to fill out forms. Some of these forms may require an internet connection to be accessed, some may not. However, most of these forms require a connection to the internet. Make no mistake; a certain amount of work is required before you start making money. It would be unrealistic to join a program and expect to make money by not doing anything.

But why would companies outsource data entry positions? Companies occasionally outsource data entry positions to save on cost. They save money as the outsourced positions generally become performance based; you are paid according to how much work you do. This saves them money, as they no longer have to pay an employee a fixed income, or provide said employee with perks and benefits.

Some work from home data entry positions will give you the freedom to select the companies you wish to work for. Most of these programs will also require a joining fee, which presents another challenge when selecting a data entry position; the validity of the program.

There are several reasons as to why a sign up fee is required. Firstly, some of these websites act as middlemen between the companies and the freelance data entry personnel. These websites have operating costs that need to be met. They have staff to pay, overheads to reach and profits that need to be made.

In order to attract companies to their service, they may offer their services to these companies free of charge. After building a wide network of companies, they 'sell' the opportunity to work for these companies to would-be work from home enthusiasts. And that's how they make money by selling these programs.

However, not all of these websites are legitimate. Several of them are pyramid schemes looking to rob you of your money. With the ever changing internet landscape, it's important to be able to identify a scam, regardless of its form. If you require some clarity on a program you are interested in joining, you should search for feedback regarding the site in question.

Forums are an excellent place to start. There are also several experts who would be more than willing to provide opinions and advice. E-mailing them is a simple solution that could help you find your dream job, while saving you money. And finally, there are reports that you can purchase. These 'tell-all' reports can be brutally honest and highly informative. These reports can give you an edge in avoiding scams and finding a genuine data entry position.

Work from home data entry is a feasible method of generating income. Just ensure that you thread carefully along the mine-filled path that is online 'data entry' and you'll be able to find the ideal position for you.

Data Entry Made Easy Scam - The Truth Exposed

Home based data entry work is one of the fastest growing segments on the Internet today. This is because companies are choosing to outsource their data entry workers rather than pay employees to do it. This leaves plenty work for those who choose to either work at home or supplement their income with data entry.

Unfortunately there are many unscrupulous companies out there who have taken advantage of people's desire to make extra money or escape the pressures of traditional work, by providing them with data entry "opportunities" which have done nothing more than leave a dent in their pockets. The data entry scam is rife on the internet, and that leads people to believe that it isn't really possible to earn money in this way.

And so, here I am to expose the Data Entry Made Easy Scam, well actually to expose the truth about it. This is basically just to ensure that potential members are serious about the program and it covers the costs of maintaining the members area and keeping it up to date with the most current information.

The work involves entering data for companies on Pay Per Click forms or free classifieds. On joining, a member gets access to thousands of different companies and can choose those that they want to work with. This may sound complicated but it is actually pretty simple. There are comprehensive step by step tutorials on completing these forms, and members are allowed to copy and paste information from the members area into the forms.

Data Entry Made Easy scam is nothing but a myth. There's a slight learning curve, but once on getting used to the system one can earn as much as they choose every day. As long as instructions are followed and data entered daily members are paid for their work. Payment is twice monthly and is by check or directly into a bank account. Plus data entry can be done from anywhere in the world.

NOTE from blog publisher: The program described above is not a typical typing job or data entry job. Data entry jobs uncovered

Traditional data entry requires one to either copy-paste certain text over and over again, continue to fill out simple forms, or something along those lines.

It requires simple work that does not require much thinking, but rather a lot of repetitive tasks. You usually will not be asked for your opinions as you are in surveys or asked to "Tell Us What You Think". Data Entry jobs are plain and simple manual labor jobs. Hence, there are some people who will not mind doing them and can earn a lot of money quickly, while others will be miserable doing data entry. It is not for everyone.

Data Entry Jobs Uncovered The Truth about Data Entry
New Trend in Click Bank Product Data Entry Jobs

Recently, there has been a growing trend in using clickbank to find and advertise data entry programs. These programs say that they will teach people how to make money through data entry, and as a result, many people visit these web sites looking to learn more about the business. Those new to data entry are especially likely to visit and even purchase the products advertised.

Click Bank Data Entry Truth

Click Bank data entry jobs are usually e-Books or other materials that tell you how you can make money using AdWords and selling affiliate links to Click Bank products. Not only are these programs misleading as you actually do not make money for the data entry, you only get money if you sell a product, these programs are also fraud and contain false information. They claim that after purchasing the e-Books there are no more expenses; however, you will have to pay AdWords hundreds or thousands of dollars to advertise. Hence it is recommended to stay away from Click Bank data entry jobs.

Finding a Reliable Data Entry Job

The key is to find an honest and reliable freelancing or part time / full time data entry job. This will take some time but we will outline some of the best ways to secure long term high paying data entry jobs and where they can be found.

Webmaster forums are a great place to look for online data entry jobs. Many webmasters are constantly looking to save time by hiring other people to do manual labor so they can focus and advertising and updating their web site. Hence, there is a huge demand for data entry and freelancing jobs for webmasters and many are able to make thousands each month through data entry for webmasters alone. It can be difficult to track down webmasters, so visiting webmaster forums with large marketplaces can help you find jobs and advertise your services. Some of the largest and most popular forums with active marketplaces are Digital Point and Site Point. Note: There is a charge of $10 to $20 to advertise your Service at the Site Point forums. Digital Point Forums, which are equally active, are free.

Craig's List is also a great place to find data entry job. Craig's List has grown to become the largest online classified web site on the Internet and although they focus and buying and selling goods in every state and many countries world wide, they also have a section for "Writing Gigs" where a few people are always looking for someone to do a data entry job. Data entry jobs vs data entry programs

Defining Data Entry Jobs and Data Entry Programs

Every day at least one person will ask if a particular data entry job is legit. Every day at least one person will ask to find a data entry position.

Data entry jobs are the most desired, most favorable and most sought after position online. You will hear often data entry jobs are rare, few and far between and it’s true. If that’s the case, why do you see them scattered online so much?

Here’s the difference between data entry jobs and data entry programs.

Data Entry Jobs

Data entry keyers inputs lists of data (alpha and numeric) into a spreadsheet or computerized database. Most reputable companies hire based on keyboarding skills, keystrokes per hour (KPH), accuracy and speed. These positions also require a cover letter and resume from the applicant and the applicant may be asked to take a typing test. They never ask you to pay for registration or training material fees.

Data Entry Programs

These are the ones people always ask about…especially for its legitimacy. Anything that promises or guarantees high returns for very little work is mostly a scam. I say mostly because the word scam is thrown around in a much too general way…just like the words data entry is.

These are not real data entry work or positions per se. These are business opportunities or programs which require upfront fees. The websites are colorful, bold and they almost always have screenshots of how much money can be made each day.

So, where’s the data entry?

These programs consist of using Clickbank, a retailer of digital products. You would sign up for a free account with Clickbank, choose a digital product and then use Google AdWords (pay-per-click) to promote. Filling out the information on AdWords is where these companies label it data entry.

Misleading?

Yes to a point because primarily you’re selling a product; you’re an affiliate and you’re not paid for the information you input, but you’re paid a commission based on how many sales you make.

Is it legitimate?

I would not pay for something I know I could do free. They may throw in some e-books to help you become a better affiliate, but the Internet is a huge source of information and all of it can be found for free.

Now you know the difference between data entry jobs and programs pretending to be data entry, there are real companies who pay you as an Independent Contractor or employee.

Although these highly wanted positions aren’t so readily available or highly publicized, don’t give up on your search. Don’t stop looking because your desired job may be just around the corner.
